ReadMe file for Conditional Colour Version 2.3 9/2/98 ===================================================== NOTE: If you are using Excel 4 or below, it won't work. If you are using Excel 5 then it will work, except that when editing a range from the organise box you can not use the colour picker, as this will cause Excel to give an "Out of Stack Space" error. If you don't use the colour picker you can still enter the colour manually in the colour box. The colour picker will still work as normal when adding a new range from the menu command. This is now an Excel Add-In, and as such it now does not matter where you save it. As this new version also includes online help, these help files (CColour.hlp and CColour.cnt) can either be copied to your windows\help folder, or anywhere else, but if they are not in windows\help you will most likely be asked for their location the first time you use them. Before installing this version please remove the previous version (if installed) by exiting Excel and deleting the file Conditional Colour.xls from the XLStart folder. To install Conditional Colour choose Add-Ins... from the Tools menu in Excel, and when the dialog box appears click the Browse button. Navigate to where you saved the Conditional Cololur.xla file, and select it. This should now appear with a check mark next to it in the list of available Add-Ins. If not, then check the box next to it. Then press OK, and Conditional Colours is installed. To temporarily disable it uncheck the box next to it. To uninstall it uncheck the box, then delete the files you copied across. They are this file, the CColour.hlp, CColour.cnt and the Conditional Colour.xla files. Also delete the CColour.ini file from your Windows folder. The Author can be contacted from his homepage at: http://www.byalexv.co.uk See the help file for full contact details and instructions for use of Conditional Colour Please note that with the latest release, version 2.3, Conditional Colour has achieved 'Critical Mass', and is therefore more likely to contain small but easily resolved bugs. So please bear with it, and email any bugs to me which I will fix. (c) 1998 Alex Vallat (and that goes for the all the other files mentioned and included too, especially the Conditional Colour.xla file.)
